Collection: Chondrites

A chondrite meteorite is a type of stony meteorite that has not been modified by melting or differentiation of its parent body. They are the most abundant type of stony meteorite, constituting over 85% of meteorite falls, and contain some of the earliest materials formed in the Solar System, such as chondrules and calcium-aluminum-rich inclusions (CAIs). Chondrites are primarily composed of spherical blobs of minerals like olivine and pyroxene, along with iron-nickel metals and other minerals.
