NWA 14615 End Cut Carbonaceous Chondrite L-Melt Breccia - 341.5g

This piece is still under classification.  This means the name "NWA 14615" is provisional because it is still not complete.  For right now, we know that the total known weight of this meteorite is only 4.2 kilos.  Three pieces total were found in Northwest Africa in 2021.  

Carbonaceous chondrites are believed to be one of the earliest forms of matter in space.  This is a beautiful end cut that has also been polished.  The clasts and color contrast of the matrix in this L-melt breccia are stunning!  

The weight of this piece is 341.5 grams.
