The Mundrabilla meteorite is an iron meteorite that was found in 1911 in Australia, although it fell in prehistoric times. It is one of the largest meteorites ever found, with a known total weight of 22 tons and the main mass (the largest fragment) representing 12.4 tons.

The impact was produced by a large sized asteroid of ferric composition, leaving a multitude of metallic pieces scattered in the surrounding area.

Mundrabilla is classified as a part of the complex group IAB. In this complex, Mundrabilla, Waterville and Buffalo Gap form the "Trio Mundrabilla" or "Mundrabilla Group" (a group of meteorites with less than 5 members).

Mundrabilla meteorites are considered very rare because the hunting ground is now forbidden.  They are protected under current law. The ones already on the market are the only ones you can still buy.

This beautiful little piece has a stunning patina and would make a great addition to any collection!

You will receive the meteorite, the COA and specimen ID card from Meteorite Men, my COA and an information card.

The weight of this piece is 152.1 grams.
