This is an extremely rare meteorite and there isn't much at all in circulation.  It is known well by the extreme and/or historical collectors in this hobby.  Many of the biggest and best museums around the world hold pieces of this fall.  A piece of it was given to the Prince of Satriano not long after the fall.

At about 7:30pm on February 10, 1853, about 2 miles east of Girgenti was a sound similar to gunfire.  Many people in town came rushing out to see what was happening.  They saw what appeared to be a smoke trail across the evening sky.  The people were afraid and unsure of what was out there, but they decided to venture out to where they heard the gunfire to investigate.  It is not known who actually found the very first piece.  They found holes in the ground where it appeared to have been scooped out for about half of a meter.  At the bottom of the hole, they found 3 stones that appeared to be burnt on the outside.  It was one of those stones that was given to the Prince of Satriano.

Most of the literature about this historical event is only documented in meteorite related books and not found online.  The British Muesum Catalog of Meteorites has some great information that has been translated from Italian to English.  There's a lot of scientific information about it in the American Journal of Science, Vol. 249.  There's even some information on Harvard University's website.  I have printed off some of this information and I will include it with the purchase of this meteorite along with my personal COA.  I recently purchased this piece from Greg Hupe himself.  He did not include his own COA with this piece but prior to that, this piece was owned by Paul Swartz of Tucson Meteorites.

It has been classified as an ordinary chondrite (L-6).  This particular piece has a beautiful shock vein running through it.

The weight of this piece is 2.9 grams.

The measurements are about 17x14x5mm.
