Erg Chech 002 Ungrouped Achondrite Polished Slice 24.7g

When Erg Chech 002 was first discovered in Algeria, many didn't believe that it was a meteorite due to its appearance.  After it was classified by scientists, they realized that this is not only a meteorite, but it's one of the rarest.  This is volcanic rock that is older than Earth itself!  They believe that Erg Chech 002 is volcanic material from a protoplanet or asteroid that was destroyed long ago.  These beautiful pieces of volcanic rock and olivine crystals is all that remains of it as far as we know, and it is proof that this protoplanet or large asteroid once existed!  This piece has been polished on one side.
